BETHLEHEM WITNESSES THE ENTRANCE OF JESUS AND HIS DISCIPLES
THROUGH STEFKO BLVD & BROAD STREET ON PALM SUNDAY
Bethlehem, PA – On Sunday, March 29th at 9:45am, residents of Bethlehem will have theopportunity to welcome Jesus and His disciples as they enter the city from Stefko Boulevard and Broad Street. The Center Lehigh Valley, dressed in Biblical costumes, will dramatize the Biblical account of the event known as the Triumphal Entry. Members of The Center Lehigh Valley will welcome the group by waving palm branches and shouting “Hosanna”. The crowd will follow “Jesus” and “his disciples” until they enter at 529 East Broad Street. The community is being invited to participate. According to the Biblical account, Jesus entered the city of Jerusalem with His band of renegades on the first day of the week in which He was crucified. The people received them with shouts of “Hosanna” and waving palm branches givin g the Sunday before Easter the name Palm Sunday.Palm branches will be distributed to the crowd.
