In Search of the Declaration:
A Historic Bus Tour of Easton, Trenton, & Philadelphia.

Step back in time to July 8, 1776, when the Declaration of Independence was read aloud, simultaneously, in Easton, Trenton, and Philadelphia —a bold and dangerous act of treason against the King of England.

Where You will Explore

  • Behind-the-scenes tour of the Sigal Museum’s Read This! The History of Media in Northampton County exhibition.
  • Walk in Washington’s footsteps on a private tour of Washington Crossing Historic Park.
  • Exclusive visit to The 1719 William Trent House to explore the tension created by divided loyalties.
  • Discover the rich history of the Founding Fathers at Christ Church and burial grounds in Philadelphia.

What You’ll Experience

  • Travel by comfortable tour bus to the three, historic cities the Declaration of Independence was read.
  • Explore with our two, friendly tour guides, offering insight and stories at every destination.
  • Three-course, private lunch at the Washington Crossing Inn.
  • Bonus: Also included are passes to revisit the Sigal Museum and explore the 1753 Bachmann Publick House at your leisure.
  • Add on: Craft activities for accompanying children.
