These bands range from traditional to Celtic rock and fusion.  They will keep toes tapping and inspire a jig or two.  Crowd favorites Cassie & Maggie MacDonald join Low Lily\, The John Byrne Band\, Runa and The Kilmaine Saints.  Seamus Kennedy returns with his Celtic comedy and pub style songs along with other traditional performers like Gerry Timlin and the Dave North Trio.  Of course the weekend would not be complete without the energy and amazing dancing of the O’Grady Quinlan Academy of Irish Dance \nThe U.S. National Highland Games Championship will see the top pro highland athletes in the country competing for the title of National Champion.  These ancient feats of strength are not to be missed! \nThe event kicks off Friday with Haggis Bowl 2025 taking place on Highland Field at 5:30 to see who can eat a pound of haggis the fastest. \nThe Showing of the Tartan Parade will be one of the largest ever.  The parade steps off from City Hall at 11:30am on Saturday\, 09/26.  Competing pipe bands will participate along with the U.S. Naval Academy Pipe Band\, Scottish clans\, Freedom and Liberty High School marching bands.  The Grade 4 pipe band competition will take place on Saturday beginning at 1:30pm.  This will be one of the largest Grade 4 competitions of the season with bands from as far away as Atlanta participating.  Grade 3 will compete on Sunday at 12:00. \nCeltic Heritage Hollow located in the Colonial Industrial Quarter has loads of activities for children\, Many Scottish clans will be present to share historical and genealogical information and Heritage Stage will have interesting lectures such as Welsh Pioneers of Industry & Labor in Eastern Pennsylvania presented by Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor\, Celtic Lore History & Heritage by International Storyteller Kristin Pedemonti\, Seamus Kennedy’s children’s performance\, musical workshops and don’t miss Freedom High School’s Celtic Ensemble. \nThere will be food galore ranging from haggis\, bridies\, bangers & mash to poutine and crab cakes!  Save to time peruse the 50 Celtic merchants with goods from all seven Celtic nations like apparel\, jewelry\, décor and more. \nThe 38th Annual Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival runs from Friday\, September 26th through Sunday\, September 28th\, 2025\, in Historic Downtown Bethlehem.  For up-to-the-minute information and updates\, follow Celtic Classic on Facebook\, Twitter and Instagram (@CelticClassic). \n\nFor more information on the Celtic Classic\, directions\, volunteering opportunities\, the weekend’s schedule\, and other Celtic Cultural Alliance events\, visit the organization’s website at www.celticfest.org. \n\nFind Us On Facebook\, Twitter and Instagram at @CelticClassic. \n  \n### \nAbout the Celtic Cultural Alliance \n\nOn Columbus Day weekend in 1988\, the first Celtic Classic was presented by a small group of individuals.  The goal of this dedicated group was to create an event that symbolized the Celtic spirit and history\, and to provide the impetus for an organization that focused on promoting the Celtic culture. This group has now evolved into Celtic Cultural Alliance to better communicate the overall goals of the organization. \n\nThe CCA has expanded with year-round programming to support the mission of promoting and preserving Celtic Culture through arts\, music\, literature\, dance\, and history programs. In keeping with the spirit of “Next Generation”\, the CCA also offers scholarships to promising young students of the Celtic Arts. These yearly scholarships are offered to students of the arts\, including Irish Step Dance\, Highland Dance\, Fiddle\, and Bagpipes. \n\nThe Celtic Classic has blossomed into one of the largest Highland Games and Celtic Festivals in North America. Annually\, over 200\,000 visitors come to Historic Bethlehem to join in this celebration of all things Celtic. The organization has expanded into year-round programs. Our educational programming has expanded to include community outreach events in area school districts\, religious institutions\, local theaters and colleges throughout the Lehigh Valley. A series of scholarships are awarded each year in varied areas of Celtic culture. \n\n Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival\, Parade of Shamrocks and Lehigh Valley HopsFest and CCA event logos are trademarks of Celtic Cultural Alliance in the U.S. and/or other countries. \n\n© 2024 Celtic Classic- Highland Games & Festival. \nAll Rights Reserved.

SUMMARY:Heritage Day Fall Festival Sunday\, October 19\, 2025 • 12:00-4:00pm at Daniel Boone Homestead at 400 Daniel Boone Road Birdsboro\, PA 19508
DESCRIPTION:Heritage Day Fall Festival\nSunday\, October 19\, 2025 • 12:00-4:00pm \nThe Daniel Boone Homestead Associates are excited to celebrate the arrival of fall with the Homestead’s annual Heritage Day event. In conjunction with this event\, we are thrilled to be partnering with the Exeter Friends Meetinghouse for open house tours to commemorate their 300th anniversary. Heritage Day features a variety of colonial and early American demonstrations\, trades\, and hands-on activities. The ever- popular colonial musician Bob Mouland will be returning this year\, and we are excited to be hosting Stone\nHouse History. Their skilled interpreters will demonstrate tape weaving and wood carving. Heritage Day also features craft and specialty food vendors as well as fall activities for children like pumpkin painting. In the Boone House\, volunteers will be cooking a hearty meal over the hearth\, while Bob Mouland treats guests to colonial music in the English parlor. Visitors can also tour the Boone House and spring cellar and learn about the three families who lived there during the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries.\nThroughout the historic area\, visitors can learn about the intricate work of a leatherworker\, the detailed work of a gunsmith\, and the skillful work of a blacksmith. Make sure to visit the Apothecary presentation featuring a display of period medical instruments and learn about the role of the doctor and surgeon during the eighteenth century. Stop by the colonial fur trader and trapper and learn about the ways European settlers used\nanimal hides and pelts. Volunteers will also be demonstrating basket making and various textile arts including wool dyeing and spinning. And don’t forget a visit to the unique\, three-room Bertolet Log House\, a prime example of early Germanic architecture.\nIn addition to demonstrations and trades\, there will be a variety of eighteenth-century hands-on activities for children and adults to enjoy including candle dipping\, quill pen writing\, and colonial toys and games. Make sure to plan a visit to the Exeter Friends Meetinghouse on your way to or from the Homestead and enjoy their open house. The Exeter Friends Meeting was originally established in 1725 as Oley Meeting and\nlater changed its name to Exeter in 1742. It is where the Quaker Boone family would have attended monthly meeting. The original log structure that was frequented by the Boones was replaced by the current stone structure in 1759. The Meetinghouse will be open throughout the afternoon and is located a little over two miles from the Homestead at 191 Meetinghouse Road\, Douglassville\, PA 19518.\nAdmission: Adults $12.00\, Seniors (65+) $10.00\, Youth (6-17) $5.00.  Children 5 and under and DBHA members are free. The Boone House\, constructed in three stages throughout the eighteenth century\, is a 10-room stone structure fully furnished to the period and situated on 579 acres of rolling countryside. The Daniel Boone Homestead is located halfway between Reading and Pottstown\, one mile north of Rt. 422 near Baumstown.
