SUMMARY:"A Date with Dad" The Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its first Date with Dad luncheon this Father’s Day\, Sunday\, June 16th
DESCRIPTION:A Date with Dad \n(ALLENTOWN\, PA) – The Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its first Date with Dad luncheon this Father’s Day. The father/child cookout will bring homeless dads together with their children for an afternoon of food\, fun\, and family bonding.\nMany homeless dads spend Father’s Day separated from their children. J.P.\, an Allentown Rescue Mission guest and current employee of the Mission’s Clean Team Workforce\, has four children that he hasn’t seen since arriving at the shelter. “I miss them. You think about your kids\, but also try not to\, so you can do everything you need to do to get your life back\,” explains J.P. “I would love to see my kids on Father’s Day!”\nAdditionally\, guests in the Transformation Program will explore topics such as fatherhood\nresponsibilities and second chances with family. The staff will emphasize the importance of family relationships and the positive effects of having a father present in the home.\nStatistics regarding fatherless homes reveal elevated incidents of runaway children\, children living in poverty\, drug and alcohol abuse\, and incarceration. The Allentown Rescue Mission works year-round to rescue\, rehabilitate\, and restore men to their families and communities. “Part of restoration is reconciliation. Though many of our guests feel they have burned all their bridges\, it’s a blessing when they are able to reconcile with family members\, especially their children\,” added Mark Faucette\, Transformation Program Associate at the Allentown Rescue Mission.

DESCRIPTION:Dear Pastor and Ministry Leader\,\nCentral Assembly of God is celebrating a momentous occasion\, and we’d like very much if you could attend. This year represents our 90 th anniversary! It’s hard to believe from such humble beginnings we are going stronger than ever. God has wonderfully blessed this church! We are going to have a celebration weekend on September 28-29. We will kick it off with a black-tie (formal attire) Gala at 5 PM on the 28 th at The Palace Center on Hanover in Allentown. This celebration will include first class worship\, a delicious meal\, the sharing of fond memories and the history of CAG\, along with a few words from special guests.Amy\, our leadership team\, and I would love to have you be a part of this celebration. We’ve built wonderful friendships with so many of you and would count it an honor for you to join us for this grand occasion. We have cut the cost by more than half to $25 per ticket. Please set aside that night to be with us. Text: GALA to 610-865-0577 to sign up to attend. We need your response by September 21.\nWe look forward to seeing you there.\nBlessings\,\nPastor M.
