This FREE event features local artists\, food and beverage trucks\, live music\, and family-friendly activities.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNazareth\, PA—The Moravian Historical Society will host the 48th Annual Arts & Crafts Festival on Saturday\, June 6\, 2026\, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled day with beautiful arts and crafts\, numerous food and beverage trucks\, and live entertainment. The Arts & Crafts Festival is open to the public with free admission. \nHeld on the historic lawn of the Moravian Historical Society in downtown Nazareth\, the Arts & Crafts Festival is one of the Lehigh Valley’s longest-running outdoor arts and crafts festivals. This family-friendly day features over 100 vendors\, live music throughout the day\, and activities for kids. Food trucks will be selling a variety of beverages and sweet and savory treats. \nLocal artisans will offer a wide variety\, including original artwork\, woodworking\, jewelry\, handmade soaps\, candles\, fiber arts\, and more. DESCRIPTION:Vacation Bible School\n\n\n​An Outreach of Advent\, Central\, and East Hills Moravian Churches \n​East Hills Moravian Church \n1830 Butztown Road\nBethlehem\, PA 18017\nJune 22-26\, 2026Morning Program – 9:00 am to noon  \nAfternoon Program – 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm \n​​​ \n​​Children in Pre-K to 5th grades are welcome to join in the fun of our traditional VBS morning program which will be themed as the Snowball Mountain Challenge. Cost for the morning program is $10 for the 1st child and $5 for each additional child in a family. \n​​​​ \nThe afternoon program is an extension of the morning VBS program and will be facilitated by Powerballers. This program is available for children who attend the morning program and have completed kindergarten and up to completion of 5th grade. There is limited enrollment available in the afternoon program and so only those first to sign up and pay will be accepted. Children in the afternoon program will need to bring a lunch and will eat between noon and 1:00 pm. They should also bring a small snack for the afternoon break. DESCRIPTION:A Colonial 250th Anniversary Celebration\nat the Daniel Boone Homestead\nSaturday\, June 27\, 2026 • 12:00-8:00pm \nThe Daniel Boone Homestead Associates are thrilled to announce their signature 2026 event commemorating the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Join us for an immersive\, living history event featuring colonial and early American demonstrations\, trades\, and activities. Meet General George Washington and learn about life on and off the battlefield while you visit a military encampment and engage with reenactors. Listen to the Brandywine Colonials Fife and Drum Corps during the\nafternoon and then join us for a reading of the Declaration of Independence and live music on the lawn with the Haycreek Valley Goldband to close out the evening as we celebrate America’s 250 th . As visitors make their way through the Historic Area\, they can enjoy a tour through the Boone House and an open-hearth cooking demonstration. Throughout the historic area\, visitors can learn about the intricate work of a leatherworker\, the detailed work of a gunsmith\, and the skillful work of a blacksmith and how these important artisans contributed to the war efforts. Plus\, visit the American Indian display to learn about the role\nthese indigenous people played in America’s fight for independence. At the Bertolet Log House\, visitors will hear from living history interpreters about the colonial militia and Dragoons and can participate in a muster activity using wooden dummy guns and swords. Then\, make your way to the Revolutionary War medical hospital and surgeon display in the Wayside Lodge. Here visitors can view period medical instruments and learn about medical practices during the War. In addition to demonstrations and trades\, there will be a variety of eighteenth-century hands-on activities for children and adults to enjoy including quill pen writing and colonial toys and games. And\, as part of this event\, we are thrilled to exbibit one of Warwick Furnace’s American Revolution cannons courtesy of the\nThomas P. Bentley Nature Preserve and French and Pickering Creeks Conversation Trust. In 2022\, this 4\,500- pound cannon\, along with three others\, was discovered under 30 inches of earth at Warwick Furnace where it had remained for 246 years.\nAdmission: Adults $15.00\, Seniors (65+) $12.00\, Youth (6-17) $5.00.  Children 5 and under and DBHA members are free. DESCRIPTION:All Abouts Bats Program\nat the Daniel Boone Homestead\nFriday\, July 17\, 2026 • 7:30pm \nDid you know the Homestead is home to numerous bats? Join us for an evening program to learn more about the bats that live at the Daniel Boone Homestead. Led by Dr. Karen Campbell\, retired Albright College professor\, this program will consist of a presentation inside the Wayside Lodge followed by a walk to search for bats as dusk falls. Bat boxes are located throughout the Homestead property\, and bats can often be spotted nesting and flying around the site. Bats are the only mammals able to fly and are more agile while flying than most birds. Dr. Campbell earned her PhD from Indiana University in Vertebrate Physiology and Zoology. She has done extensive bat research at eastern Pennsylvania parks and historic sites including Valley Forge\, Hopewell Furnace\, and the Berks County\nHeritage Center. No admission is charged for this program. It will take place in the Wayside Lodge. Please no pets (except service animals) and no smoking. The event is funded and presented by The Daniel Boone Homestead Associates. The Daniel Boone Homestead is the birthplace of the famed frontiersman\, born in 1734. The Boone House\, constructed in three stages throughout the eighteenth century\, is a 10-room stone structure fully furnished to the period and situated on 579 acres of rolling countryside. The Daniel Boone Homestead is located halfway between Reading and Pottstown\, one mile north of Rt. 422 near\nBaumstown. The Homestead is owned by the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission\, and daily historic operations are run by the Daniel Boone Homestead Associates\, a local\, nonprofit organization.
