SUMMARY:"A Date with Dad" The Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its first Date with Dad luncheon this Father’s Day\, Sunday\, June 16th
DESCRIPTION:A Date with Dad \n(ALLENTOWN\, PA) – The Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its first Date with Dad luncheon this Father’s Day. The father/child cookout will bring homeless dads together with their children for an afternoon of food\, fun\, and family bonding.\nMany homeless dads spend Father’s Day separated from their children. J.P.\, an Allentown Rescue Mission guest and current employee of the Mission’s Clean Team Workforce\, has four children that he hasn’t seen since arriving at the shelter. “I miss them. You think about your kids\, but also try not to\, so you can do everything you need to do to get your life back\,” explains J.P. “I would love to see my kids on Father’s Day!”\nAdditionally\, guests in the Transformation Program will explore topics such as fatherhood\nresponsibilities and second chances with family. The staff will emphasize the importance of family relationships and the positive effects of having a father present in the home.\nStatistics regarding fatherless homes reveal elevated incidents of runaway children\, children living in poverty\, drug and alcohol abuse\, and incarceration. The Allentown Rescue Mission works year-round to rescue\, rehabilitate\, and restore men to their families and communities. “Part of restoration is reconciliation. Though many of our guests feel they have burned all their bridges\, it’s a blessing when they are able to reconcile with family members\, especially their children\,” added Mark Faucette\, Transformation Program Associate at the Allentown Rescue Mission.

SUMMARY:Bethel Music’s Gold certified singer/songwriter and worship leader Josh Baldwin\, who will be performing at Bethany Church on May 11 on his special upcoming “Every Hour Tour.”
DESCRIPTION:The performance will feature music from Baldwin’s second live worship project “MADE FOR MORE” with focus track “Thank You Jesus.” Check out the album here and watch the brand-new music video for “Thank You Jesus” here. Written to inspire\, encourage\, and point hearts back to their Creator\, the eight-track live album consists of songs that Baldwin wrote from his heart to lead listeners back to the true intention and purpose of worship music. Tickets for the “Every Hour Tour\,” are available for purchase now at www.joshbaldwin.com\, and will include David Leonard and special guests Destiny Worship Music. \n  \nA member of the Bethel Music Collective since 2014\, Josh is known for his songs “Praises\,” featured on Bethel Music’s “Have it All\,” “You Deserve It All\,” from his solo project “Rivers\,” and “Stand in Your Love\,” a song featured on Bethel Music’s album “VICTORY” (2019) which reached No. 2 on the Christian Billboard charts. His gold certified single “Stand in Your Love” reached No. 2 on the Billboard Christian charts and garnered Josh his first K-LOVE Awards nominations as “Breakout Single of the Year” and “Worship Song of the Year.” \n  \nJosh’s seventh solo career album\, “MADE FOR MORE\,” consists of songs that Josh wrote from his heart for the local church and corporate worship. Written to inspire and encourage\, his latest offering reminds listeners of their purpose\, as through the album’s title track and “Prince Of Peace\,” which was born out Josh’s personal encounter with Jesus through a battle with anxiety. \n  \n“This album has been such an important project for me\,” says Josh. “What I love most about it is that all these songs came out of different seasons my family and I have been and are still walking through––calling on the Lord to be our help and our Prince of Peace through all of the ups and downs of life. The heart of this album\, and my heart for every person who listens\, is that they would be reminded that they’ve been redeemed and called by name.” \n  \nFor more on Josh Baldwin and “MADE FOR MORE\,” please visit: Website | YouTube | Apple Music | Spotify .

SUMMARY:Announcing the Jubilation Ringers' Annual Spring Concert: “This Is Dedicated . . . “Sunday\, April 28\, 4:00 pm\, in the beautiful sanctuary of Asbury United Methodist Church
DESCRIPTION:Announcing the Jubilation Ringers’ annual spring concert: “This Is Dedicated . . . “ \nOur 2024 spring concert\, “This Is Dedicated . . .”\, comprises performance pieces that have been specifically written for\, dedicated to\, or composed in memory of some special person\, group of people\, or organization. The music varies between rousing\, percussive pieces (Jubilate\, Bauder) and those that are gentle with haunting melodies (Appassionata\, Joy). Some are arrangements of well-known hymns (Meditation on Beautiful Savior\, arr. Moklebust) or folk songs (Annie Laurie\, arr. Allured); others are original compositions. Also in this concert we are especially excited to premiere Will Gross’s “The Heavens Are Ringing\,” composed in memory of our founding director\, Phyllis Treby Hentz\, who sadly passed away in January 2022. \nThe Jubilation Ringers handbell choir rings 7 octaves of Schulmerich handbells along with 6 octaves of Schulmerich handchimes\, 3 octaves of Petit and Fritsen (Dutch) handbells\, and 2 octaves of Schulmerich silver melody bells. We also sprinkle in some wind chimes\, bell trees and\, wait . . . is that a train whistle?? (Know what a “bell tree” is? Come to the concert and find out!) \nThe concert will be held on Sunday\, April 28\, 4:00 pm\, in the beautiful sanctuary of Asbury United Methodist Church\, 1533 Springhouse Road\, Allentown\, PA. No tickets are required for entry. A freewill offering will be taken as you exit\, with half the proceeds being donated to Family Promise of Lehigh Valley. Family Promise is an organization that partners with the local community to assist families with children who are experiencing homelessness. Their unique program allows couples or single parents to remain with their children while being sheltered\, versus being separated by gender\, thereby increasing successful outcomes. (Learn more at fplehighvalley.org.) \nThe Jubilation Ringers perform under the direction of Jacqueline Grove. We hope you will join us for our concert of dedications!
