The event begins at 1:00 p.m. with a talk by Dr. Scott Paul Gordon\, followed by a reception for the exhibition from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. \nMoravians & The Revolution: Caught in the Crossfire paints a picture of a pacifist community that found itself in a conflict that would ultimately transform its way of life. Moravians in Pennsylvania had to walk a delicate balancing act between their religious ideals of pacifism and the interests of American patriots\, the British government\, and Indigenous groups in the region. The Revolutionary War tested their desire for freedom from entanglements with the outside world. \nDrawing from first-hand accounts in the Nazareth\, Emmaus\, and Bethlehem Diaries\, Curator Andy McLeod realized the Moravians were caught in the crossfire of this conflict. McLeod remarked\, “The Moravians hadn’t been strictly pacifist since before the French and Indian War\, but Church leadership still wanted to maintain peace within their community as best they could and avoid choosing a side in political conflicts. Unfortunately\, the war had other plans.” \nThese stories are further brought to life through original artwork created by Bob McLeod\, who is best known for co-creating and illustrating The New Mutants for Marvel Comics. He began his career with Marvel’s Crazy Magazine and has pencilled or inked all the major characters for Marvel and DC\, including Spider-Man\, The X-Men\, Superman\, Batman\, Wonder Woman\, GI Joe\, Star Wars\, and many more. McLeod also wrote and illustrated Superhero ABC\, published by HarperCollins and edited Twomorrows’ Rough Stuff magazine. \nScott Gordon will give the opening talk\, providing insights into the pacifist Moravian community during the time of the Revolutionary War. Dr. Gordon is a professor and the Andrew W. Mellon Chair at Lehigh University. \nSeating in the Museum is limited\, and advanced reservations are required for the talk. Tickets are $12 ($6 for MHS members and free for students with ID) and can be purchased by visiting www.moravianhistory.org/music-and-lectures. The reception is free to attend. \nMoravians & The Revolution: Caught in the Crossfire will be on view from February 22\, 2026\, through January 17\, 2027. The talk and exhibition are supported\, in part\, with funding from the Hotel Tax Grant Program through the County of Northampton Department of Community & Economic Development. \nFounded in 1857\, the Moravian Historical Society (MHS) preserves\, interprets\, and celebrates the rich culture of the Moravians. MHS maintains the 1740–1743 Whitefield House and the 1740 Gray Cottage\, the oldest surviving Moravian structure in North America. Recognized widely for its significant collection\, the museum offers permanent and changing exhibitions\, educational programs\, guided tours\, and public activities. \nThe Moravian Historical Society’s Museum is open daily from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is located at 214 East Center Street\, Nazareth\, Pennsylvania.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDownload the press release\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis event is supported in part by the Northampton County Department of Community and Economic Development with funds through the Hotel Tax Grant.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Moravian Historical Society is a proud member of:

SUMMARY:It's Time to Change the Spiritual Climate! Join Dr Ed Silvoso and Guests as we Lift Up God Through the Ekklesia all Around the Globe on March 29th\,30th & 31st!!!
DESCRIPTION:Warmest greetings in Jesus’ wonderful name! \nIt is with both urgency and overflowing joy in the Holy Spirit that we invite you to be part of a 3-Day\, 30- minute thrust to change the spiritual climate over our nation and the world. If there ever was a time when such a change was needed\, it is now. And if there ever was a time when there was a significant number of believers in place to facilitate it\, it is also now. \nYes\, today there are thousands of Ekklesias—families and groups of two or three coming together in the presence of the Lord Jesus—that like a well-trained army are ready to be activated. This is what this announcement is all about: Activating Ekklesias Everywhere! \nHOW THE EKKLESIA EVERYWHERE BROADCAST WORKS: \nThe Objective is to mobilize families and congregations to engage in a 3-Day Exercise that jump-starts a lifestyle to change the spiritual climate over neighborhoods\, cities and nations…and keep it changed. \nThe Tool is a mini-series of three 30-minute programs hosted by me and Ruth to be released on our YouTube channel @TransformOurWorld for viewing beginning on March 29\, 30 and 31. \nThe Facilitators\, in addition to us\, are Kent Mattox\, Cal Chinen\, Chuck Pierce\, Ken Gott\, Bill Johnson and Anthony Summers. \nThe Activators are you and thousands of Ekklesias all over the world. \nThe Content: The pre-recorded programs are highly focused and to the point so that everyone watching from wherever they are will engage in the following: \n\nDAY 1: Identity as Jesus’ Ekklesia free from any oppression\nDAY 2: Activation of their Spiritual Gifts to be able to minister to others\nDAY 3: Application by inviting neighbors and friends to their homes for a night of miracles\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Date: EKKLESIA EVERYWHERE will be broadcast on March 29\, 30 and 31 on our YouTube channel @TransformOurWorld. The videos will be released each day at 12:01 AM Pacific time so that they can be watched at a time most convenient in your time zone. For those in the Pacific time zone\, we encourage you to watch it at 8 pm so we all can experience it together.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn addition\, the series can be repeated as often as desired. As mentioned above\, this is a tool for creating a powerful lifestyle of Prayer Evangelism to change the spiritual climate and keep it changed. But on this occasion\, taking advantage that it’s the week before Easter\, we are calling on you and tens of thousands of others to do a united exercise to mirror Psalm 133: “…brethren dwelling together in harmony for the Lord to pour down His anointing and to command a blessing.”\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Tracker: The map on www.EkklesiaEverywhere.com. By simply entering your address on the sign-up form (no name or contact information is required)\, we will all be able to watch Ekklesia Everywhere explode across the globe. Click here to sign up right now! When you do\, you will see how many are already on board on all five continents.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWhat a day to be alive in Christ! Let us arise and build! We are eagerly awaiting the powerful manifestation of Jesus in myriads of homes. \nBlessings!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEd and Ruth and the entire TOW Team!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nKindly RSVP below. Your participation would greatly encourage us!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYes—I’m ready to help change the spiritual climate!\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nNo—I’m unable to participate at this time.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEd Silvoso – Transform Our World | P.O.
