The event takes place on Saturday\, December 16th\, 10am-12pm. This event is specifically designed to provide a calm and relaxed environment for children and adults who may feel overwhelmed by traditional settings. With careful consideration given to sensory triggers\, the Sensitive Santa Event ensures that everyone can enjoy the holiday festivities stress-free. From gentle lighting to quieter music\, this event strives to create a warm and inviting atmosphere where families can connect and celebrate the magic of Christmas in a way that feels comfortable for everyone. The train station has partnered with the Branching Out Foundation to\nopen earlier and make the station privately accessible to people with disabilities. The station is decorated like a winter wonderland for their holiday market. The non-profit Friends of the New Jersey Transportation Heritage Center goal was to make the train station available to all\, and their organization saw this as the perfect partnership for those with special needs.Sensitive Santa is designed to provide a more inclusive and accommodating environment for children of all ages with special needs during the holiday season. The purpose of Sensitive Santa is to ensure that all children\, regardless of their abilities or disabilities\, have the opportunity to meet and interact with Santa Claus in a way that is comfortable and respectful of their unique needs. By understanding the importance of Sensitive Santa\, we can create a more inclusive and accepting society where every child feels valued and celebrated during this magical time of the year.\nVickie Mendes-Branch founded Branching Out Foundation in 2015 after learning that her son had autism and being unable to find any local support services. Branching Out Foundation was formed with the expectation of providing various training opportunities and support initiatives\nfor parents and caregivers whose lives have been impacted by autism.\nAlso in 2022\, to offer more community support to parents in Phillipsburg. Branching Out- Page One Resource Center was opened in Phillipsburg. Page One’s mission is to promote awareness\,advocacy\, and understanding of autism and related disorders through community-based programs and services.

Join us at the Daniel Boone Homestead and experience Christmas as it was almost 300 years ago with your family and friends. Visitors can learn about English and Pennsylvania German holiday celebrations\, enjoy parlor music with Bob Mouland\, listen to the Homestead Carolers\, visit with Santa and the Belsnickel\,\nand enjoy Christmas crafts and activities. Throughout the historic area\, visitors will hear about the different Christmas traditions of the families who lived on the property throughout the eighteenth century as they tour the festively decorated buildings.\nIn the Boone House\, volunteers will cook a Christmas meal in the hearth and talk about the English Christmas traditions. Visitors will get to enjoy the English and German parlors festively decorated for the season. Visit the Blacksmith Shop and the Homestead Barn as you walk up to the Bertolet Log House. This Pennsylvania German log cabin will be open for tours and visitors can learn about its unique architectural history. Join the Homestead Carolers as they meander throughout the historic area singing joyous\, holiday\nmedleys. And of course\, make sure to save time for a visit and picture with Santa. There will also be holiday crafts and activities for children\, including a Christmas scavenger hunt through the Historic Area. After completing the hunt\, children will be able to receive a holiday treat bag. Make sure to keep an eye out for the Belsnickel who will stop by the Homestead for a visit! The Belsnickel\, part of eighteenth-century rural\nPennsylvania German Christmas lore\, is much different from today’s jolly\, old Santa Claus.\nVisitors can warm up with complimentary hot chocolate and hot wassail. Don’t miss this great opportunity to take a stroll through Christmas Past and enjoy an afternoon of old-fashioned\, good cheer! Taking place on Friday\, December 8th\, and Saturday\, December 9th\, this event promises an unforgettable experience for families and friends. \n\n\n  \n\n\nOn Friday evening at 7 pm in the heart of Nazareth at the Center Circle\, the festivities commence with a magical tree lighting ceremony; a lively celebration\, including a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus\, a live performance by All Things Brielle\, and greetings from local officials. Nazareth’s own A Pinch of Sugar will generously provide free hot chocolate and coffee\, while whimsical holiday characters roam the area. \n\n\n  \n\n\n“The holiday feeling is in the air; you can feel it strongly throughout Nazareth.  We are looking to channel that energy to a festive two-day event bringing much of the community together\,” says Aaron Gasparetti\, Manager of the Nazareth Area Chamber of Commerce. \n\n\n  \n\n\nThen\, on Saturday\, December 9th\, it’s time to shop locally in Nazareth with Christmas in Nazareth! Running from 10 AM – 3 PM\, the event is a borough-wide initiative that highlights multiple community partners and plenty of family-friendly activities. Featuring live performances by Nazareth School District groups\, a live ice carving demonstration (sponsored by Lehigh Valley Reilly Children’s Hospital)\, live reindeer (sponsored by the Reichel-Knecht Family) and a vendor market in the Nazareth YMCA parking lot\, and a shuttle service sponsored by Easton Coach Company\, there is something for everyone to enjoy. Everyone is welcome to attend. \nThe Lehigh Valley Embroiderers’ Guild of America (LVEGA) exhibition will feature a curated display of needle arts work by members of the LVEGA. The Lehigh Valley Embroiderers’ Guild of America was established in 1977 to share their love of needle arts. The Embroiderers’ Guild of America’s mission is\, “Inspiring passion for needle arts through education and the celebration of its heritage.” \nDuring the exhibition\, the LVEGA will offer a variety of needle arts workshops. Every Sunday\, (except holidays)\, members will host “Sit-n-Stitch” drop-in workshops from 1:00—4:00pm. Members will be in the museum working on projects\, and be available to answer general questions about the Guild\, embroidery techniques\, and items on exhibit. On Saturday\, December 9\, the Guild will provide an ornament making activity as part of the Christmas in Nazareth celebration\, taking place between 10:00am—3:00pm. \nOn Saturday\, January 20\, 2024\, the LVEGA will offer a children’s embroidery workshop and on February 2\, 2024\, they will offer a workshop for adults. Details will be available on our website: moravianhistory.org. \nThis exhibition is supported\, in part\, by the County of Northampton through its Hotel Tax Grant. \nThe museum is open daily from 1:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. except on major holidays. The exhibition will be on view from November 19\, 2023 through February 25\, 2024. \nFounded in 1857\, the Moravian Historical Society (MHS) preserves\, interprets\, and celebrates the rich culture of the Moravians. Located in Nazareth\, Pennsylvania\, MHS maintains the 1740–1743 Whitefield House and the 1740 Gray Cottage\, the oldest surviving Moravian structure in North America. The museum features an outstanding collection of objects related to the establishment of the 18th-century Moravian settlements. This collection exemplifies the significant contributions Moravians made to music\, art\, education\, and culture in early America.

DESCRIPTION:Holiday Drive to Provide Food and Hope for Homeless Men \n(ALLENTOWN\, PA) – The Allentown Rescue Mission will hold its 23rd annual Thanks for Giving Food & Supplies Drive the weekend before Thanksgiving. The Mission relies on this event to feed its guests throughout the holidays and to restock its pantry for the upcoming year. This year grocery costs in Pennsylvania are among the highest in the nation making the drive especially important to offset higher costs to feed the Mission’s men. The Allentown Rescue Mission will accept donations on Friday\, November 17th\, 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.and Saturday\, November 18th\, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at its 355 Hamilton Street\, Allentown location. Mission staff will be on site to help unload donations.\nRedner’s Market will this year again partner with the Mission to make donating to the event more convenient with one-stop-shop and drop-off.
