SUMMARY:Nockamixon State Park - September Goose Hunting
DESCRIPTION:Hunters will again have the opportunity to enjoy the September Canada Goose season at the park. The season begins Saturday\, September 1st and continues through Tuesday\, September 25\, 2018. Areas of the park normally open to hunting are open for the September Canada Goose season. Hunting maps are available at the park office at: 1542 Mountain View Drive\, Quakertown\, PA. Pennsylvania Game Commission rules and regulations apply. Shooting hours are one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset. The September season allows a daily bag limit of eight Canada Geese\, with a possession limit of 24. DESCRIPTION:Nockamixon State Park is hosting Labor Day Weekend Nature Programs \nLive Animal Presentation International Vulture Awareness Day\, Saturday\, September 1 at 11:00 am at the Education Center. Join them for an up-close view and learn all about these amazing raptors! There will be an easy mile-long walk to look for vultures after the program. \nPaddle Programs Sunday\, September 2 at 9:00 am or 12:30 pm at the Marina. Experience the fun of kayaking and explore scenic Lake Nockamixon as we look for turtles\, birds of prey\, and waterfowl! Park kayaks are available for loan. Pre-register online to reserve your spot. Pre-Registration is required. “Donations requested” \nLabor Day Hike Monday\, September 3 at 9:00 am at the Old Bethlehem Road parking lot. They will be hiking Old Mill Trail(5 to 6 miles of moderate difficulty with a break/snack at the halfway point).
