SUMMARY:Annual Backpack Distribution - The Salvation Army\, Lehigh Valley
DESCRIPTION:The Salvation Army\, Lehigh Valley will hold it’s 2018 Backpack Distribution Event in Allentown from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on August 23rd at the 144 N 8th Street\, Allentown\, PA 18101. Over 500 children attended with a parent last yaer and received school supplies. We anticipate at least as many participant’s during this year’s event. We will be joined by the LV Phantoms Street Team who will be using the parking lot to play hockey with the kids. Members of the National Guard will also be on hand to show the kids rock climbing. UPMC will also be present as a community partner. We are grateful to the following organizations for their support of donated supplie or monetary donations: Kiwanis Foundation of Allentown\, UGI\, Crayola\, Lehigh Valley Phantoms\, Barry Isett & Associates\, St Joseph Church-Coopersburg.
