WJCS Second Family Picnic will be held on Saturday July 18 beginning at noon.  The picnic will be held rain or shine at Waldheim Park, Emmaus Avenue in Allentown.  Waldheim is located behind the Valley Farm Market strip mall on Emmaus Avenue in Allentown. The address is 2400 S. Hall St. if you would like to use mapquest.com for directions.  Learn more about Waldheim and their summer schedule at www.waldheimpark.org.  The entrance to the park is actually Hall Street.  This is the street beside the bank in the mall.

A picnic menu of hot dogs, hamburgers, bean soup, watermelon, chips and various drinks will be available at reasonable prices.  Our musical program begins at 3:00 pm with Inner Light Quartet as the opening group.  Following Inner Light Quartet at 4:00 pm will be Sandy Florence.  Sandy will also share how God used WJCS to launch Sandy's music career.  The Holmes family of Allentown, aka On Time Ministries will conclude the music program filling the 5 - 6 pm time slot.  At 6:30 pm we will have our evening service with a special speaker.  Included in our evening service will also be an update on WJCS, introduction of the creator of WJCS Health Minutes, Dr. Scott Stoll and special music and a message by Pastor Rick Goodman of Salem Bible Church.

The event is free and open to the public.  Spend a great afternoon in the wooded surroundings of Waldheim Park with other members of our WJCS family.  Offering containers will be available if you would like to make an offering to WJCS.  Please use the offering envelopes to record your donation so we can give you credit on a year end statement for tax purposes. Proceeds from the sale of food will help offset the cost of the picnic.  If you would like to help by volunteering to help us with the event, food service, clean up or any other assistance, you can e-mail (wjcs@wjcs.org) or call the station at 610-791-7262.

A private swimming pool is operated by Waldheim and although not included in our picnic activities, non-resident guests may use the pool for a nominal fee. You can find out all the costs at the Waldheim Park website www.waldheimpark.org.

Plan now to join us July 18th. and invite your family, friends and neighbors.

Bethlehem will come alive with Musikfest from July 31 through August 9.  However, there is a Christian Alternative called Mannafest.  The second annual Mannafest will run simultaneously with Musikfest.  Mannafest is not affiliated with Musikfest. El Shaddai Bethlehem, 529 East Broad Street, will again host this exciting event Friday, July 31 thru Sunday, August 9.  The festivites on Saturday and Sunday are from 1 to 10 pm and other days from 6 to 10 pm.  There will be a full line up of Christian artists performing throughout the 10 days.  Delicious and inexpensive food vendors will be present along with many other vendors to provide products that offer a wide variety for all ages.

There are still openings for Christian performers and we would love to hear from you.  Our website provides all the necessary contact information and printable applications .  There are still spaces available for organizations that would like to consider operating a consession stand as a fund raiser.  Crafters are also encouraged to apply.  Applications for vendors are also printable from the web site.  You may call 610-625-3500 during normal working hours for information or visit the web site anytime.  www.mannafestlv.org.

Take the time to visit Mannafest.  You'll be glad you did.  Admission to the grounds and all concerts are free !
